This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled across the following apps:

Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate and improve the apps:

• Usage analytics — anonymous events such as screen views, feature usage, and session duration. Collected via PostHog. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription is managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your App Store or Google Play purchase receipt to verify entitlements.
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, used for crash diagnostics and compatibility.
• Notification tokens — if you grant notification permission, a push token is stored locally to deliver reminders. No notification tokens are sent to third-party marketing services.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• The content of your intentions, journal entries, or affirmations
• Your location
• Your contacts, camera, or microphone (unless you explicitly grant access for a specific feature)

Third-Party Services

The apps use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management. Privacy Policy
• PostHog — product analytics. Data is anonymized; IP addresses are not stored. Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and payment processing. Subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.

Data Storage

All user-generated content (intentions, journal entries, streaks, settings) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is not transmitted to any server and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Shadow Forge journal entries — all shadow work session responses, body check-ins, and gratitude notes are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to any server or third party. This data is not accessible to the developer.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically no data to retrieve or delete. For any questions, contact us at the address below.

Analytics tracking can be opted out of via the in-app settings (where available).

Children's Privacy

These apps are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Mental Health Disclaimer

Shadow Forge is a self-guided journaling tool designed to support personal reflection based on Jungian psychological concepts. It is not a medical device, clinical service, psychotherapy, or substitute for professional mental health treatment.

The app does not provide diagnoses, clinical assessments, or therapeutic interventions. Content is for informational and self-reflective purposes only.

Shadow work and introspective journaling may surface strong emotions. Users should exercise personal judgment about their readiness to engage with this type of content. If you experience distress, suicidal thoughts, or a mental health crisis, please immediately contact a licensed mental health professional or a crisis service in your country.
