These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the following apps and this website:
By downloading, installing, or using any of these apps, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the apps or this website.
Who Provides This Service
These apps and this website are developed and operated by Engin Aytekin, an independent solo developer based in Ankara, Turkey, trading as Aytekin App Studio. There is no separate corporate entity behind these Terms.
Description of Service
Each app provides a self-guided wellness, manifestation, sleep, or journaling tool built around a single daily practice. The apps require no account and store the content you create locally on your device. Some apps offer an optional subscription that unlocks additional content or features.
Not Medical or Professional Advice
None of these apps are medical devices, diagnostic tools, or a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or financial advice. Content is for informational and self-reflective purposes only. If you are experiencing a medical, psychological, or financial crisis, contact a licensed professional or the appropriate emergency service in your country.
Shadow Forge in particular involves introspective journaling that may surface strong emotions; use your own judgment about your readiness to engage with that content. Declare lets you track a savings goal you define yourself; it does not connect to any bank account, does not move real money, and is not financial advice.
Age Requirements
- Most apps in this portfolio are intended for general audiences per each app's App Store / Google Play age rating.
- Shadow Forge is intended only for users aged 18 and older.
- Declare is intended only for users aged 17 and older.
Subscriptions and Payments
Where an app offers a paid subscription, the purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Pricing, billing cycle, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by:
- Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, for iOS purchases
- Google Play's Terms of Service, for Android purchases
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel, manage your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through the app itself. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies; we do not process refunds directly and cannot override a store's refund decision.
Your Content
Any intention, journal entry, affirmation, voice recording, or photo you create inside an app is stored on your device and remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it, and — as described in the Privacy Policy — we do not have server-side access to it. You are solely responsible for backing it up; uninstalling an app deletes its locally stored data permanently.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any app, except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Use any app for an unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription or paywall mechanism
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense any app or its content
Intellectual Property
The app names, designs, copy, and underlying code are the property of Engin Aytekin, except for third-party libraries and services used under their own licenses. The historical techniques and practices an app is based on (for example a public-domain text, a named psychological concept, or a general breathing method) are not our intellectual property; our own explanations, copy, and implementation of them are.
Third-Party Services
The apps rely on third-party services — including PostHog, RevenueCat, Expo, and, in two apps, Google AdMob — each described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The apps and this website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Engin Aytekin and Aytekin App Studio are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, any app or this website, including emotional distress arising from introspective content, loss of locally stored data, or any decision made based on an app's content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue or modify an app, or remove it from the App Store or Google Play, at our discretion; where you hold an active paid subscription, cancellation and refund of that subscription remain governed by Apple's or Google's own policies.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing here overrides a consumer protection right you have under the mandatory law of the country where you reside.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the apps or this website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
